1. How did you learn to make banners, layouts etc., Was it difficult at first?

At first, I had no idea what I was doing. I just sort of taught myself as I went along, and I'm still learning. I've been doing layouts since 2003, but I started on various other blog websites. I didnt do myspace until 2005.

2. Do you feel that you help out the band by making them banners, layouts etc.,?

Well I hope so. A lot of bands have thanked me sincerely for what I do, and I see my banners on a lot of myspaces, so I think I'm doing something right.

3. What kind of software do you use?

I use the Photoshop 2.0 that came already on this computer, nothing fancy or expensive. I also download trials of GIF Animators... I know I could just BUY things, but Im broke. Haha.

4. Do you draw it out or just simply come up with the request in your head?

When bands ask for things, they are usually pretty vague about it like "Could you make us a bloody logo" or something, and when they do that, I ask them more detailed questions of what they want. I dont want to make something they wont like, so its all usually drawn out. When people ask for band layouts or anything like that, I usually just pull together a few images and call it done.

5. What layout, banner was the most fun/difficult to make?

Well my favorite banner would have to be the one for Dreaming of A Nightmare just because it was a themed banner that was themed after their name. It took a ton of frames to make, but it looks pretty damn cool. As far as layouts go, I enjoyed making all of them, but the Machine Head one is probably my favorite background that I've ever done.

6. How long does it take to finish a request?

That always depends. I've already filled four tonight, but sometimes I get a bit overwhelmed with working and school. Banners and logos are always quick, but layouts can take a while.

7/ What do you get out of helping bands and promoting them?

Besides the awesome feeling of knowing that I'm helping out some good metal bands, all of the bands I've helped have been extremely thankful, and do a fair amount of promotion in return for whatever I do. But Prayer of the Dying mailed me their promotional CD from Malta, and Furyo gave me a downloadable copy of his album. I've also been offered tshirts and merch at discounted prices. =]

8. Is there a certain genre that you wont help or are you an open to any genres?

As long as its metal really, I'm okay with it- Even heavier rock and classic rock sounding bands. I listen to every genre of metal, and love them all, so of course I'm going to want to help them out. However, I dont like bands that focus on naked chicks...thats just one of my pet peeves. If the music is good though, Im open to it.

9. Do you have other interests or hobbies?

Well I've been an avid guitar player since 2004, and have a few nice guitars, so I practice quite a bit. I'm in a band, I'm a senior in high school, and taking college classes. That, and The Book of Heavy Metal take up pretty much all of my time.

10. What do you have to do to become a featured band on your page?

Contact me and tell me that you're interested is pretty much it. I reserve weeks in advance so the earlier the better. I would like to be placed in that band's top friends list atleast for the time they are a featured band.
